Shirly Creek is part of Hoosier National Forest in Southern Indiana. It has 20 miles of trails, 15 campsites with hitching rails and picnic tables and fire rings and vault toilets. No water, just a spring for horses. Shirley Creek Trail runs approximately 19.5 miles through a variety of terrains in scenic hardwood forest. It's shady are perfect for horseback riding. Hiking, and mountain biking are also allowed. There's a Forest Service sign for Shirley Creek here. It's just over 1 mile to the gravel road to the horse camp. Turn left onto this road. Directions: Located 6 miles from French Lick, Indiana, go to the split of State Road 150 and State Road 56 in Prospect and follow the signs If you cant find the signs stop at grocery store in the split they will send you on your way.
